Mega Con Cometh
Exactly one month until my first ever convention! The excitement is building. I get to be in Orlando for a week, cosplaying and meeting people and lining up job interviews on the side.
I’ve got one, maybe two cosplays lined up – my first ever – and hope to take all kinds of pictures with which to spruce up this blog.
Anyhow, really just writing this to vent, ‘cause I’m so hyped and its way too long of a wait for that.
Don’t give in to despair, Tumblr!
Like, half my timeline is struggling with depression. I find this quite distressing.
Tumblr is a magical place where people actually share my interests. Never met a soul in RL who was into my shows, yaoi/yuri, random shenanigans, or my favorite anime. You’re my living emotional crutch. I can come on here, post something I’ve thought up or found, and people from all over the world can like/share it.
On Twitter (where I have 400 followers!) I’m lucky if anything I say gets so much as a retweet. My point is, Tumblr’s got the best community on the web and I get all sad when I see the timeline’s sad.
So don’t you worry don’t you worry child chalk those sad thoughts up to the winter blues. They’ll be gone by March. Many of you have RL friends to chat it up with on Tumblr – that’s so awesome a loner like me can hardly believe it’s true. I’ve had a bad decade and I’m still looking on the bright side.
Buck up, all of you, ‘fore I start singing Swedish House Mafia, poorly. (Too late!)
